Hi I am confused over the variety of tickets that I could buy. Should I get a 7 days JR pass? Or a Takayama Hokuriku Area pass (but it doesn't seem to cover the trip from Kanazawa to Nagoya). Or Am I better off taking buses? I am travelling with a 6yr old kid. Pls advise. Thanks!

Hi there,
For this route I would use a 7 day JR Pass, as the Takayama Hokuriku Area does not cover parts of this route and the JR Pass also offers a longer period of validity (though its hard to say for sure what would suit you best, as I don't know how many days you want to stay in each place).
Hope this helps,
Daniel
