Hi
I’m planning to go with my family to Tokyo next month. And from there, we will go to Kyoto, then Osaka and Kobe.
We will fly back from Osaka so it’s only a one way trip.
Is it worth it to buy the JR Pass? If not, shall we buy the tickets upon arrival or before on the Internet?
Thanks in advance 🙏

Hi there,

As you can read in many other posts here, a one way trip Tokyo - Kansai does not pay of for the JR Pass. A return however would do so.

As such I recommend buying normal tickets for your trip. You can do so at any JR station in Japan.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
