Suica Prepaid IC card

Hello there,

Suica can only be refunded within it's official service area, that is to say all JR East stations. This means that you can't refund it at Kansai Airport.

My advise, keep it as a cool souvenir :)

In that case can I buy a ICOCA Prepaid card at Kyoto Station and make the payment using the Suica card.

I think that you can use the balance on the Suica card but not the deposit.

I only don't see why you would want want to have both.

One more question : Using the Suica card, can I top up the balance in the Kansai area, i.e. Osaka, Kyoto etc.
