Hello! I have a 5 years tourist visa that will expire on 2020 and a student visa that i will receive this June. I'll be studying in Japan for 2 years and my family wants to visit me on my vacation. Im just wondering if i am qualified to use the jrpass? Thank you in advancee

Hi there,
I've never heard of a 5-year tourist visa. Would this be a multiple entry visa?
You will only be eligible for the Japan Rail Pass if your visa says, temporary visitor.
A student visa is not eligible for the Japan Rail Pass.
