Specific travel and reservations

I am looking to buy the Japan Rail Pass, but want to make sure I will be able to use it for all the cities I am visiting.
I am going from Tokyo to Osaka (round trip). Osaka to Kyoto (round trip). Osaka to Hiroshima (round trip).
Also, do I need to make reservations for any of these trips even after purchasing the JR pass? What’s the best way to find routes that will be valid with the JR pass?

Hi there,

The JR Pass is valid for travel between all these cities and will be a very cost efficient option, especially the 7-day JR Pass. You don't need to make reservations but can do so for free with the JR Pass.

For travel times, I recommend learning to plan with Hyperdia this way you can find any route/timetable and more. It's a great tool for planning with the JR Pass. We also have a useful interactive map with all JR lines included.

Hope you find this useful :)
