Should i buy 7 day JR pass

I am flying to Osaka, stay 3 nights, travel to Tokyo for another 3 nights stay and then return to Osaka for the final night before flying back to Singapore.
1. Should I buy the 7Day JR Pass or just single journey tickets?
2. When I am in Osaka, I plan to make a day trip to Kyoto. Can the 7Day JR Pass be used?

Hi there,

1.) I do recommend a 7 day JR Pass the cost of the pass is about the same as a normal return ticket Tokyo - Osaka. Now you get 7 days of unlimited travel for the same price.

2.) You can for instance, use the pass to visit Kyoto but also for travel on local JR lines and to/from the airport.
