Several trips and returns

We will be travelling from tokyo to hamamatsu. Then returning for a couple days and then to Aomorri before returning to Tokyo by eail to fly back to America.
The total time in Japan will be 14 days. Would the JR Pass be a better choice than buying tickets for each leg?

Hello there,

Let's have a look at ticket prices and find out:

Tokyo - Hamamatsu: ¥ 8,090
Hamamatsu - Tokyo: ¥ 8,090
Tokyo - Aomori: ¥ 17,150
Aomori - Tokyo: ¥ 17,150

For a total of ¥ 50,480 or at least ¥ 4,090 in savings, as the 14 day JR Pass is ¥ 46,390.

You can also use the JR Pass for local travel in Tokyo and to the airport, adding even more.
