I had the opportunity to visit your country last March. On that trip, on March 6, 2024, I made a purchase in person at the ticket office of JR shinkansen, the ticket was from Tokyo to osaka and from osaka to kyoto, and Kyoto - Tokio. I used my VISA credit card. The person who attended me and processed the charge made a mistake in the dates of my travel and then, after checking the receipts, explained to me that he needs to charge me again and in approximately one month later I would receive a transfer of the price paid in error. I went to inquire afterwards and the person who attends me said that this action would be done automatically. This has not happened yet. Coud you be so kind to help me to figure it out what is happening with my refund? I have all the recives

I'm sorry to hear about this. Here we can only help with purchases made through JR Pass.com.

The best advice I can give you is to gather the documentation you have, and inform your credit card company about the situation. Hopefully they can reserve the transaction.
