Redeeming multiple vouchers?

Hi, I purchased two 14 day vouchers one for me and one for a friend but both vouchers are in my name. When I go to redeem the vouchers for the actual pass would it be possible to have one of the vouchers exchanged for a pass in her name as long as she's present there with me? or since we're traveling together would it be possible to redeem both passes in my name and as long as I have both and she is with me on the train it would be ok?

Hi there,

The JR Pass is a personal ticket and it is not possible to transfer it to someone else. Your girlfriend would have to buy her own ticket in her own name.

Having her use your pass is a bad idea, could get the pass confiscated and she could face additional fines or criminal prosecution.
