Hi, I will travel from Tokyo to Kobe, then from Kobe to Kyoto (two times), to Nara, and Osaka.
1. Where (which line) should I take my trains? Any specific names attached to my JRpass?
2. Can I use this pass in the towns: Kobe, Osaka, Kyoto?
thanks.

Hi there,
1.) You can use the Shinkansen between Tokyo - Kyoto and Kobe. The Shinkansen stations are called Shin-Osaka and Shin-Kobe for Osaka and Kobe. From there local lines get you into both cities.
2.) Yes, local JR lines are covered in each city. Note that other transport, such as the metro/subway is not included.
Hope this helps,
Daniel

Hi Daniel-san,
please more questions:
1. Based on JR web with JR pass I should use only Hikari trains; whereas based on your reply above, I can use Shinkansen which is a bullet-type train. Please advise.
2. Once I get your answer to Part 1, my next question is how can I get on that train from Ginza Station?
Thanks a lot.
Lev
