Hi there,

Most of the lines you travel on are metro lines. To find our if a JR Pass is useful, look at the longer intercity trips on the Shinkansen and see whether tickets would cost more. Looking at your trip, this is limited to a one way trip on the Tokaido Shinkansen and I think buying normal tickets would be better. However I don't know what stations you'll be visiting as you only mention the lines, so I can't say for sure.

The following lines are non-JR lines:
1/ Osaka: Hankyu Line
2/ Osaka: Tanimachi Line
5/ Kyoto: Sen-Nichimae Line
8/ Kyoto: Keihan Main Line
9/ Kyoto: Tozai Line
10/ Kyoto: Karasuma Line
12/ Fuji: 河口湖駅行
13/ Fuji: Fujikyuko Line
15/ Tokyo: Chuo-Sobu Line
16/ Tokyo: Hanzomon Line
17/ Tokyo: Oedo Line
18/ Tokyo: Hibiya Line
19/ Tokyo: Saikyo Line
21/ Tokyo: Marunouchi Line

As these are all run by different local operators, I'd just use a Suica card to travel around easily. In Tokyo you could also look at Metro day tickets, if you go to be riding them a lot.

Kind regards,
Daniel

Hi Daniel-San

Thanks a lot for your quick & professional response.
Few more questions regarding the Suica Card.

1) Indeed is the Suica card works exactly like a JR pass?
2) Is Suica card not usable on express train & Shinkansen? Which trains (name) are considered Express train?
3) Is the Suica card usable on all the JR trains/local trains/buses/subway in Osaka/Kyoto/Fuji/Tokyo?
4) Is the balance in Suica Card refundable?
5) Can we purchase the Suica Card Online?

Thank you & Have a nice day!
Best regards
Meng Fong
