Hi,
We plan to visit on January to Feb next year.
Need some advice. We will reach at Osaka(KIX) at 25th Jan and plan to spend some time at Kyoto and Kobe.
Then we plan to travel to Nagasaki by train on 27th Jan. We will be in Nagasaki for few days and plan to travel Kyushu for a week till 4th Feb to Osaka(KIX) again. Can you advice me what would be the best solution?
Is there any discount if I buy 4 adults and 1 kid ticket..We are interest to experience Japan Shinkansen. But the price of Shinkansen is very expensive compare to flight.
If I buy 7day JRpass will I able to used in Osaka and Kyushu? How much does it cost? can you advice me?

Hi there,

The JR Pass covers the train to Nagasaki and you can use the Shinkansen where available. As well as travel within Kyushu on any JR lines and local JR trains around Osaka and Tokyo. You can find the price of a 7 day JR Pass here. A 7 day JR Pass would be very cost efficient compared to buying normal rail tickets for this route, I can't say how it compares against airfares, as these change on a daily basis.

Children below the age of 12 can travel with a child pass at a 50% reduced rate.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
