I would like to ask which JR pass should I purhcase for my trip. I am planning to travel from Osaka to hokkaido Sapporo, which JR pass can I use for Osaka to hokkaido area? Can the pass be used for train station to some attraction at Osaka and hokkaido?

A 7-day JR Pass will be a good value option here and help you make good savings on the route Osaka - Tokyo - Hokkaido. The JR Pass also covers all trains around Hokkaido and any stop along the way.
Personally, I enjoy a 1-night stop at Sendai. This nicely breaks up the travel, has interesting local food and cool places to check-out locally (such as Yamadera and Matsushima).
