hi
on my way from Iga-Ueno to Osaka/SHin Osaka
the hyperpedia website shows some route to Osaka via Kyoto

but I understand that the above pass does not go to Kyoto.

am I correct ?

so I have to ignore those that go Kyoto. am I right ?

Hi there,

This pass does cover travel to Kyoto on local JR lines and some express services.

I am not completely sure what route you are talking about but you should have no problem reaching Kyoto coming from Iga-Ueno, Osaka or Shin-Osaka.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

since my JR pass will end at SHin Osaka. I want to reach Kyoto from SHin Osaka.
what is the efficient way to do that ?
I have to pay by cash now

Hi there,

The best option is to buy a local ticket on the JR Special rapid service. This is only 560yen/one way one and takes just 30 minutes between Shin-Osaka and Kyoto station. Not as comfortable as the Shinkansen but as fast.

on my day 1 I will be visiting Koyasan.
I will be activating this pass "osaka nagoya Ise Kumano wakayama Area Tourist Pass"
from KIX to JR Namba. then I use the Koyasan world heritage Pass to get to Koyasan.

however from day 2 when I come down from Koyasan.
do I have to go back to Namba (with the heritage pass) and begin my trip down to Kii Katsuura ?
or can I break at Hashimoto JR( with the heritage pass), then take to wakayama and go down Kii Katsuura ?

hope you know what I am asking. thank you so much

Hi there,

You can indeed go via Hashimato to Wakayama and then to Kii Katsuraa :)

thanks Daniel
but "You can indeed go via Hashimato to Wakayama and then to Kii Katsuraa :)"
will the heritage pass allow that ?to break at HAshimoto ? because originally my starting point was Namba.

if yes , means I have to buy ticket from Hashimoto to Wakayama since osaka nagoya Ise Kumano wakayama Area Tourist Pass does not allow that.
am I right ?

Hi again,

Yes, you can just get off the train earlier - no body will mind if you get off at Hashimoto.

I was under the impression that the JR Wakayama line would be covered but - you are right - it surprisingly is not. So you could buy a ticket to Wakayama from there.

HI Daniel San
I looked at Hyperdia for the transport.
I type Koyasan to KiiKAtsuura
I was looking at the 1037 departure from Koyasan and reach KiiKatsuura at 1615 (this is the most ideal)
does my world heritage pass( i I buy YEn2860 one ,right? from Namba)
I stop at SHinimamiya
from Shinimamiya to Tennoji on JR Rapid service. ( this part my JR area pass, does it cover ?)
TEnnoji to Kiikatsuura Should be covered by my area Pass, right?

Hi there,

Yes, your Heritage pass should cover the way back to Shin-Imamiya and you can use the JR Pass from there too Kiikatsuura.

Looks like quite a time extensive trip, even though the distance is not that far.
