I recommend using a 7 day JR Pass for Osaka - Hiroshima - Kyoto - Tokyo. The JR Pass will give you good savings on this route and is significantly cheaper than buying rail tickets.

I guess, I was not very clear about my itinary
day 1 Arrive Osaka. In the afternoon take half a day trip to KYoto and back to Kyoto. Overnight stay in Osaka.
Day 2 Osaka- Hiroshima and return to Hiroshima.
Day 3-5 we are on a tour bus and will arrive in Tokyo on day 6. Tour bus takes us to Kyoto-Magoma Juku-Shizuoka and from Shizuoka to TokyoOne day of guided sightseeing and 2 days on our own.
2 days in Tokyo on our own and will be using trains to get around.
Individual tickets or JR pass is cheaper?

So you would basically want a pass for Day 1-2? I think you could look at using a Kansai-Hiroshima Area pass. This will be very cost efficient for going from Kansai to Hiroshima and you can also use it for travel between Osaka, Kyoto and the airport.

I looked into Kansai-Hiroshima pass. Two Questions for this route
It says seat reservation not included. Can we pay extra and get a reserved seat?
Secondly it says JR limited express train and local trains.
WE wanted to take a round trip on a bullet train from Osaka to Hiroshima. Would that be covered?

In Tokyo, do they have a 2day local paas or multiple tickets for Tourists? Approximately what are the price of train or bus tickets?

WE wanted to take a round trip on a bullet train from Osaka to Hiroshima. Would that be covered? Yes, you can take any Shinkansen from Shin-Osaka to Hiroshima.

Approximately what are the price of train or bus tickets? It depends a lot on the route and what company you travel with. On average, I'd count 1 metro ride as a round 200yen.

We( Group of 10) will be travelling to Hiroshima from Osaka on a bullet train around 8 am on October 12. How much would a reserved seat cost? Are reservations necessary?
With Kansai Hiroshima pass, you cannot go through an automatic gate. Only to a gate with an attendant. They should be easy enough to find?

I don't know exactly how much it would cost but expect to pay about 500yen per seat for reservation cost. Reservations are not required and you can take a non-reserved seat for free.

It is easy to go through the gate. Its the same as the automated gates but one is manned.

We are coming to Osaka on Oct 11. When should we buy Kansai- Hiroshima Pass?
Can we activate it at the Osaka airport when we land?
We will be going to Kyoto the same day we arrive. There are so many trains going to Kyoto. If we are going to see Golden Pavillion in Kyoto first, which train should we take ?
We are returning to Osaka from Fushimi Inari and Gion area. Which train should we be taking?
