I am really interested in buying JR pass for my 5 days trip between Okayama and Hiroshima. And I am wondering if I could use my JR pass for the Sinkansen between Okayama and Hiroshima? How do I reserve seats with JR pass and do I have to pay extra fee?

Hi there,
Yes, you can use the Shinkansen on this route, though seat reservations can't be made.
So just go to the platform and take a non-reserved seat.
