Hi there,

We're going from Niseko to Tokyo and want to take the train. Is a JR Pass all we need? If only going one way, what's the cheapest pass option? And can you please confirm which trains we'd need to take?

Thanks!

Hello Lee,

The cheapest option would be to simply buy a normal rail ticket if you travel one way. A JR Pass would be great if you make a return.

The route is as follows: Hayabusa Shinkansen from Tokyo - Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto station. There transfer to a ltd. express train to Niseko. Full route will take around 7 hours.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
