hi i want to know if i want to visit sapporo in hokkaido area is the jr pass valid to use and are their rail connections from tokyo to hokkaido area. please guide

also can u guide me if there is space in bullet trains to carry and store your bags since we travel from naritia or tokyo to sapporo. also will the jr pass also cover the local tokyo travel of trains, subways, bus and ferry and also of kyoto, osaka, etc.thnx

It is not problem to bring a normal suitcase with you on the Shinkansen.
The JR Pass covers all JR lines nationwide, other transport, run by other companies is not included. Such as the Metro, non-JR bus, ferries and so on.
