Some suggestions, we will be arriving Narita at 1915. We want to be in Kyoto the next am. Do you suggest getting a hotel in Tokyo or going straight to Kyoto that night. We will have a JR Pass. Thank you in advance.

Hi there,
It will be (nearly) impossible to travel by rail to Kyoto if you arrive at 1915. Instead I would recommend getting a hotel near Tokyo, Yokohama or Narita and travel on the following morning.
