Hi, I will reach Osaka by 14th December and stay for 19 days around many places in japan, I had decided to purchase the rail pass for 14 days, my return will be on 2nd January 2020 at night from Osaka airport at 23:00, I want to use the rail pass from Tokyo to Osaka on my last day, when do you suggest to reactive my japan rail pass, 18th or 19th of December?

Hi there,
It will depend on what travel you do with it, to get the best value out of the pass use it on the days that you travel the most. Tokyo - Osaka is quite expensive without a rail pass, so I suggest including that in your travel plan.
