Hi, we are traveling from Tokyo to Kanazawa on morning of March 21, using JR pass. What will be the best route? We have first class pass,- Do we need to make reservations ahead of the trip? Thank you!

Hi there,

You can use the Hokuriku Shinkansen directly from Tokyo to Kanazawa station. Prior reservations are recommended. You could do so the day before you travel.
