Hi,

I plan to do the following traveling and I am not sure if I should better buy individual tickets:

11-Nov: Narita Airport->Kyoto
13-Nov: Kyoto->Nara->Kyoto (one day trip)
15-Nov: Kyoto->Osaka->Kyoto (one day trip)
17-Nov: Kyoto->Tokyo
19-Nov: Tokyo->Nikko->Tokyo (one day trip)
21-Nov: Tokyo->Kamakura->Tokyo (one day trip)
23-Nov: Tokyo-Narita Airport

Many thanks for your help

Hi MarinaO,

I recommend getting a 7 day JR Pass for travel to Kyoto and back to Tokyo. These are the trips that cost the far by most and where you'll make the best possible savings using a Japan Rail Pass.

Then buy normal tickets for travel in and around Tokyo, there are various discount passes available to visit Nikko as well.

Kind regards,
Daniel
