Hello,

Could you please advise me of the best way to travel by train. Do I get a 7 day Japan Rail Pass and then pay for seperate tickets or get a 14 day Japan Rail Pass?

My itinerary is flying to Hiroshima. After a couple of days, I would like to:
1. Day 1: Go to Miyojima Island.
2. Day 2: catch train to Kyoto.
3. Whilst in Kyoto for 5 days do a couple of day trips on the train.
4. Day 8: Travel to Osaka.
5. Spend 2 days in Osaka.
6. Day 11: Catch a train from Osaka to Kansai Airport.

Please advise, Thankyou.

Andrew

Hi Andrew,

I think I would look at using a Kansai Hiroshima Area Pass. It fits your itinerary and would help you make savings, going to Kyoto, Osaka and your day trips.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
