We are travelling from Kyoto to Mt Koya staying 2 nights. We are then travelling to Kii Katsuura. What JR train route should we use. How frequent are the trains, do they all connect and how long is the travel time. Thankyou

Hi there,
For travel times, I recommend learning to plan with Hyperdia this way you can find any route/timetable and more. It's a great tool for planning with the JR Pass. We also have a useful interactive map with all JR lines included.
There are however no JR lines to or from Koya-san and you will have to use other transport for at least part of the way.
Here are some example routes. You can use the JR Pass from Hashimoto station.
