Kawazu Kansai Rail Pass

Hi! I’m planning to get the Kansai Wide JR Rail pass and I need to see if it’s worth it. I’m planning a trip to Kawazu to see the February sakura. Upon research, a trip there by changing trains from the Inokashira line to the Yamanote line costs about $37, and even by the Odoriko line which is the most direct is $35-55, which will make the cost of my pass worth for a return trip.

May I know if the train journey from Tokyo to Kawazu is covered under the Kansai Wide JR Pass?

And which is the cheapest/fastest route to Kawazu?

Thanks.

Hi there,

Unfortunately the journey from Tokyo to Kawazu is not covered by the Kansai Wide Area Pass. If you’re solely making your way from Tokyo to Kawazu then the easiest way is to go via the Odoriko line. If you are planning on making other trips around the Kansai region I would then recommend you buy the pass.

More information, including a map of where the Pass is valid, can be found in the link below:

Hope this helps!

Hi Kizuhe,

Would you be referring to the Tokyo Wide Pass?
