I am from the Philippines and will be travelling to Japan for the holidays with my whole family (around 22 of us). Our itinerary includes: Osaka to kyoto on Dec. 29 and Kyoto to Tokyo on Dec. 30 then tokyo to yuzawa on Jan. 2. Is it beneficial if we buy a JR Pass for this routes? How will we make our trip between cities shorter? Which routes should we take? Hoping you can help me. Thanks.

Hello there,
I suggest using the Shinkansen for sure, these are the high speed bullet train lines and they will get you in the fastest way possible from point 1 to point 2.
A JR Pass could be beneficial but you would have to do a little more travel in order to make savings. You can find our exactly how much in our fare calculator www.jrpass.com/compare
