My son is going to Japan in a week. I wanted to know if you had to buy the pass before entering Japan or can you purchase it once there? Does the pass work on all busses , trains and the bullet trains? Thank you. Cathy

Hi Cathy,
While there is a small scale pilot in Japan, where you can buy the JR Pass at a selected amount of stations. The price online is up to 20% lower. If you have the time for delivery, I would order one beforehand.
