Hi

I’m travelling japan for the first time early October flying in from Sydney Australia. Should I buy a pass?

Itinerary:
NARITA to Tokyo
Tokyo 4 days
Tokyo to Hakone for 2days
Hakone to Kyoto
Kyoto for 4days. From there to Osaka, Nara and maybe one other destination.
Kyoto to Tokyo for one day
Tokyo to Narita

Thanks in advance
Michael

Hi Michael,

I recommend using a 7 day Japan Rail Pass for your travel to Kyoto, Osaka, Nara and back to Tokyo. This would help you make good savings and at the same time cover all your travel between these cities.

I Hope this helps,
Daniel

Hi Daniel thanks for the info. I was thinking the 14day pass but the 7 day makes lots of sense.

Michael
