Hi! We are planning to visit Gotemba on our upcoming Japan trip this March. I would like to know what is the best way to go there using the JR Pass from Tokyo?

Hi there,
The best way is to use the Shinkansen to either Atami or Mishima stations and from there to use local trains to Gotemba station. I suspect you may want to visit the Premium Outlets for shopping? There's a free bus at the back of Gotemba station to the shopping outlets.
The best route depends on what time of day you travel. I recommend using www.hyperdia.com to find the best route for your travel date/time.
