My name is Riska. I have a few question I want to ask before I buy JR Pass. I will go to Japan on April 13, 2018, and will stay until April 20th. I will stay in Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo. My question is :
-This is just to make sure, what kind of transportation that JR Pass cover? -Can I use it for subway train and bus in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka?

Hi Riska,
You can use the JR Network nationwide, which includes all Shinkansen lines, ltd. express trains and local JR lines. As well as local JR buses (but not those run by other companies) and the JR Ferry to Miyajima.
Other local transport like the metro is not included. We have a map here with all lines:
