JR Pass for 3 weeks

Hello there,

Our arrival is in Narita Airport. Can we buy the JR Pass online first then claim an actual ticket in the airport? This is how the process works, you place an order online here, then we ship you an exchange voucher. You turn this voucher into the Japan Rail Pass at Narita Airport or elsewhere.

Once we claim the actual ticket, can we use to take Shinkansen Hikari train to Kyoto immediately? Or we need to book in advance? You can make reservations right away, seat reservations are recommended (but generally not required).

Then, can we use JR Pass in Kyoto whole area? Local JR lines are covered, other transport is not.

The JR Pass also covers Kyoto - Osaka - Hakone - Tokyo.

What is the earliest time we can take train? From Nishi-Shinjuku or Shinjuku station.

We need to arrive Narita Airport about 7.30am. Or any other recommendation we can arrive Narita Airportat about 7.30am?

That is very early, the schedule may depend on what day you travel. You can check www.hyperdia.com for time tables.

Most trains start around 6 am which would just give you enough time to arrive by 7.30 at Narita Airport.

I confirm my ticket to going back on 30/3/17.

I have searched the time table. If I depart from Shinjuku Station, take yamanote line, then arrive to Nippori station, then Narita express.

Just want to double confirm, the earliest train depart from Shinjuku station will be at 5.56am, if I miss that the next one will be 6.19am and 6.40am, right?
