is it possible to get only 10 days JR pass instead of 14 days as we will only be in japan for 10 days.

Hi Ramin,
The JR Pass is only available for 7,14 or 21 days. That said, you could just use a 7 day JR Pass for the days that you travel the most and then buy normal tickets for the remaining days. For instance local travel around Tokyo does not cost a lot that you could use the JR Pass there.
