Hi,

I am struggling to work out if its worth it to buy the 14 day Japan Rail Pass for our upcoming trip.

We arrive on 12th April to Fukuoka and fly out of Tokyo on 25th.
We are aiming to stop at Naoshima Island, Kobe, Osaka, Nara and Nagono or Fuji in between.

I was also trying to figure out the best way to get from Nara to Nagono - we would like to save time so I'm wondering if the overnight from Osaka to Tokyo and then another train to Nagono from there would be better or should we just get the train from Nara to Nagono via Kanazawa?

Any help much appreciated!

Thanks,
Ciara

Hi Ciara,

You could go to Nagano either via Kanazawa or Nagoya, both are nice routes to travel and included in the JR Pass. If you do want to make a stop over then doing so at Kanazawa is recommended. Kanazawa is a very nice city and great to spend a day or two.

You will be traveling quite a lot and a 14 day JR Pass will be a good help there.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
