We're visiting Japan this July for 5 days. We acquired an apartment to stay at shinjuku-Juku Tokyo.
As of now we only have Kyoto and Fuji Q highland amusement park on our place to visit but definitely would want to visit around Tokyo area.
Does the seven day pass best for us? Would it work around local Tokyo and neighboring town train as well?
If you have any suggestions where to go for good family trip that train pass works too that would be awesome as well.
Thanks so much.
Japan trip - 5 days
Hi there,
I do think that the 7 day JR Pass is an interesting option for your travels. The cost of a 7 day JR Pass is similar to the cost of a return ticket Tokyo - Kyoto, now you get unlimited travel for the same price.
You could use it for some cool day trips for instance, think of Kamakura and Nikko from Tokyo. Or visit Nara, Osaka, Himeji or even Hiroshima from Kyoto.
You can also use the JR Pass on local JR lines around Tokyo.
Hope this helps,
Daniel
