Hello,
My upcoming trip to Japan includes 5 days travelling betweenTokyo - Mt Fuji and down to Kyoto before walking the kumano kudo for the next 5 days then back up to Tokyo, a total of 10 days in Japan.
Is it worth getting a JR Rail pass for the first leg of the journey?
Or possibly using it for the Journey from Tokyo - Kyoto/Tanabe on 29th March and the return trip on April 4th back to Tokyo. It will be exactly 7 days i am travelling during that period, so is the JR pass 7 days inclusive?
Thank you for your help.
Charlotte
Japan trip
Hi Charlotte,
For your trip it would cost less to just buy normal tickets.
A JR Pass would have been good if you made the return Tokyo - Kyoto within 7 days.
Kind regards,
Daniel
So just to clarify, if I got the 7 day JR pass to cover travel on the 29th Mar and return 4th Apr (7 days exactly)this would be worth it? Tokyo to Kyoto/Tanabe return?
Thank you
Hi there,
Yes, exactly :)
