Hi there,

Yes, this would be called the Japan Rail Pass :)

You can use the Japan Rail Pass nation wide!

Kind regards,
Daniel

Hello,

If you are only traveling from Nagoya to Osaka, then obviously it would be a total waste of money getting a JR Pass.

The only rail passes that covers both those cities as end points would be the Takayama-Hokuriku Area Tourist Pass which is more for tourism through the Hokuriku area, and the Kintetsu Rail Pass - but Kintetsu is not JR.

Good luck.
