Hi there
I am leaving the UK on December 12th to go travelling however not arriving in Japan until 17th February and wouldn't want to activate the rail pass until 24th February.
Can I order it before I go away or would it expire before I arrived in Japan?

Hi there,
The JR Pass needs to be activated within 3 months of issue date, and at time of activation you can still pick a date up to 1 month later. If you were to activate the JR Pass on say the 18th (you could then select the 25th as a starting date). You could thus buy the pass mid-November without problem.
