I'm traveling from Tokyo to Nagoya, Matsumoto and Nagano with day trips to nearby area all by Shinkansen and local trains. And finally return to Narita. Is it feasible to buy the area pass for Nagano and Niigata?

Hi there,
The Area Pass for Nagano does not cover travel to Nagoya at all and would not be applicable here.
Instead, I'd look at using a 7 day Japan Rail Pass instead.
Kind regards,
Daniel
