Is a JR Pass worth it?

Hello,

I will be visiting Japan in a few weeks. I'll arrive at Narita airport, to stay in Tokyo for a week. Then I'll be flying to Hiroshima from Narita airport. From there on I wanted to use the Shinkansen and other JR Lines to visit Himeji, Osaka, Nara, Kyoto and Nagoya. The entire trip will last exactly 21 days. Is it worth it to buy the 21-day JR Pass?

Thanks for the help in advance!

Hi there,

It will depend on how many days you spend in each place and what route you take. I can't say for sure without knowing your day-by-day itinerary. In general, I'd look at using a JR Pass or Regional JR Pass. I could let you know for sure, if you tell me what days you'd spend in which city.

All the best,
Daniel
