I intend to buy two JR Passes for my forthcoming trip to Japan and wondering if Indian customs duty will be applicable and charged to me when the pass is physically getting delivered in India.
Rates are pretty steep in India and I would like to be aware of it advance. Your timely and credible response will be extremely helpful.

The JR Pass is a travel ticket (like an airline ticket), as such no import duties apply. Your pass is dispatched and marked as "Documents".
