Hi there,

We are a family of 5 and are going Japan on 10-18th of July 2026. We are finalising our itinerary which may include :
10th midday arrival - Tokyo
11-12 Tokyo
13-15 Kyoto
15 Hiroshima
16 Hita
17 head back to Tokyo -with side trip to Mt Fuji
My teen kids are really a big fan of one museum there and so my question is how to go to Hita from Hiroshima?
Is it possible to go to Hita from Hiroshima?

Any suggestions about itinerary and best train pass will be much appreciated.

Kind regards
Duanne

Hi Duanne,

That sounds like a brilliant trip! Visiting the Shingeki no Kyojin Museum will be such an exciting highlight for your family :) For your itinerary, I would recommend a 7-day Nationwide JR Pass (valid from 11–17 July). You can certainly travel from Hiroshima to Hita by train, and the Nationwide JR Pass will cover these journeys for you.

Please refer to this post for your Mt Fuji visit. Please note that the Nationwide JR Pass covers your travel up to Odawara Station (for the Hakone area) or Otsuki Station (for the Fuji Five Lakes area).

I hope this helps!

Kind Regards,

Mariko
