I would like to know regarding buying JR pass. As a cabin crew, we are using general declaration in arriving most of the country including Japan. Are we eligible to apply for the JR Pass? Cause I'm not quite sure if passing immigration they will stamp our passport on "visitor". I'm about to buy the JR Pass online today. I will be flying to Japan arriving on the 13th November 2022. Looking forward for your soonest reply. Thank you
Hi there,
The rule is simple, you need to have a temporary visitor visa (V) to use the JR Pass, when entering Japan using a non-Japan passport.
As cabin crew, you'd have to ask immigration to stamp your passport, else the JR Pass can't be issued.
