It’s my first trip to japan a little scared not traveling with a tour guide.
I bought my jr rail passes. I want to visit kyoto for a night.
Where can I find what bullet train line I need to get on ? Where do I need to go to make my seat reservations?
Sorry I like to plan everything before I leave. I don’t want to get on the wrong train.

For travel times, I recommend learning to plan with Hyperdia this way you can find any route/timetable and more. It's a great tool for planning with the JR Pass. We also have a useful interactive map with all JR lines included.
