Hi,
In Februari 2018, I wiil travel In Japan for 6 days with my mom (60 years old) and my son (4 years old).
I will be landing at Haneda Airport, and stay at Hotel near Toyocho Station. I will be back to my country through the same Airport.

During my trip, I planned to visit Shibuya, Shinjuku, Akibahara, Ueno, Asakusa and Odaiba and Disneyland. (Tokyo Only)

  1. Could yo give me advise, it is necesarry or not for me to buy JR Pass, If not, which card I have to buy.

  2. Is there any special price for senior and child ?

If I consider to add my travel planed to visit Osaka or Kyoto, which one from that City nearest to Tokyo ? and it is efficient if I buy JR Pass when I visit another City ?

Hi there,

1.) A JR Pass is a good option if you travel to different cities, like from Tokyo to Kyoto and Osaka. If you stay only in Tokyo, then travel costs won't be high and generally, it is cheaper to buy normal tickets (instead of using a pass).

2.) Child passes are available for half the cost of an adult for the ages 6-11. Children below the age of 5 can travel for free. Details are here: http://www.jrpass.com/blogs/japan-rail-passes-for-children

Kind regards,
Daniel
