Hello,
We are 4 people (3 adults + 1 child 11 yo). We are coming to Japan 2 weeks in the middle of summer (July/August).
We will probably do the itinerary below:
- 4 days in Tokyo - 5 days in Kyoto (maybe a day trip to Himeji) - 1 day in Koay-san - 1 day in Hiroshima - 1 day in Miyajima - 1 day in Hakone - 3 days in Tokyo Would you recommend to take a JR pass ? Which one would we have to buy?
14 days + paying the train to the airport the last day? or 21 days?
Thanks and regards
Anne T

Hi Anne,

I think a 14 day JR Pass would work best, use it for the days that you are traveling between cities + buy normal tickets locally for when you are around Tokyo. This would be the most economic option, though a 21 day JR Pass may be a bit more flexible.

Hope this helps!
Daniel
