Hi
My wife and I will be activating our rail pass on Saturday the 13th of April in Tokyo and will be travelling to Toyohashi on this morning. Can you please advise what date and time this pass would expire for a 7 day pass.
Also, can we book seats prior to the activation of the pass ?

Hi Mike and Sally,
The JR Pass is counted in days (not hours) and the first day is counted as a full day, no matter what time you start using it.
Starting the JR Pass on April the 13th, will mean that the JR Pass expires on 19th April 23:59.
