Expiration of rail pass

I have a 7 day pass with intend on using. i have not activated it and i was wondering how long do i have before it expires. i was going to activate in MAY 2018 for 7 day but i want to know if i can wait until later in 2018.

Hi there,

The JR Pass can be activated up to 3 months after its issue date. You'll find the issue date on the pass itself.
