We will be spending our time in Tokyo, travelling withing the city, including subway and buses possibly. We then move to Kyoto, with travel to Osaka, Nagoya and Hiroshima planned. My question is, does the JR pass cover these trips? What is the alternative if not the JR pass?

Thanks - Lee

Hi Lee,

Yes, the JR Pass covers travel to all these cities.

Within Tokyo, you can use the JR Network but other transport like the subway is not included.

Kind regards,
Daniel

Thankyou Daniel - is that when the Suica card is also useful (in relation to subways etc..)?
