Coverage JR Pass in Kyoto-Osaka-Nara

The JR Pass covers travel to all the cities you visit. Going into detail:

Kyoto:
JR Lines are limited to the south and west of Kyoto. You can visit Arashimaya and Fushimi Inari but the other places will need additional transport.

Osaka:
You can use the Osaka loop line and other local JR lines. For instance to JR-Namba from wher you can walk to Hozen Temple.

Nara:
You can travel to Nara using the JR Pass. The city is quite small and can be explored by foot, there's also a 100yen loop bus.

I also would like to visit Fuji Kawaguchiko, I read there is train from Shinjuku to Otsuki, then continue from Otsuki (pay another traini ticket) to kawaguchiko.
instead of using train, is ther direct bus from Shinjuku to Kawaguchiko which is cover by JR Pass?

Hi there,

There is no bus included in the JR Pass that goes the Kawaguchiko. The route via Kawaguchiko is the most economic using the JR Pass.
