Children Pass

Hi there,

The day of purchase is leading when it comes to buying child passes. She can use a JR Pass as long as you purchase one in time before her birthday.

You can use any JR train, local, ltd. express or Shinkansen (with exception of the Nozomi Mizuho) using the JR Pass.

Most local trains don't have Green cars, ltd. express trains and Shinkansen mostly do.

I'm visiting Kyoto and back to Osaka at same day, any pass recommended? Most of the Kyoto train not supported by JR Pass, am I right?

Then from Shin Osaka to Tokyo Disney Resort, is it fully covered by JR Pass?

From Shinjuku to Gotemba? Is it fully covered by JR Pass?

Heard that most of Hikari Shinkansen don't have green car, is it right?

Correct, you can only use the JR in the south and west parts of Kyoto. Local travel around Osaka/Kyoto however is not that expensive and buying normal tickets works fine.

You can use the JR Pass to Gotemba, Disneyland and elsewhere without any extra costs. The Hikari Shinkansen do have all Green cars.
